GROWING IN GIVING

We depend greatly on one another for our ministry at Servant of Christ. All that we have is a gift from God. We are called to be wise stewards of all that we have received: our time, talent and treasure.

 

At Servant of Christ we are encouraged to grow deeper in our stewardship of all that God has given by thinking in terms of abundance rather than scarcity. Beginning from a point of scarcity causes us to fear there will not be enough, thus closing us off from giving or receiving. But an attitude of abundance invites us to openly give and receive.

We encourage you to consider to offer a percentage of your income to the ministry of the gospel of Christ. We also encourage you to grow in giving as an act of faith and spiritual discipline. As we offer our time, talent and treasure with gratitude, we help to proclaim the good news of God in Christ to our community and beyond.

Simply send a text message to Servant of Christ at 763-401-7586 with the amount you would like to contribute (example: 25). Within a few minutes, you’ll be sent a text with a link to register. Click on the link and enter your cardholder name and debit or card information. Once your registration is complete, you will receive a text verification and a receipt of your donation via email.

 

For future giving, send a text with the amount you wish to give, and it will process automatically! You can even text “repeat” to make it a recurring donation. Give+ Text is one of the fastest, easiest ways to give.

Since Servant of Christ began offering an automated giving program called The Simply Giving Program endorsed by Thrivent Financial Bank, several members have chosen to participate. Members have told us how much they like the program because of its convenience. They also mentioned that they appreciate that their financial gifts to Servant of Christ continue even if they are out of town and aren’t able to be at a worship service.

BE GENEROUS WITH YOUR TIME

This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Its a great time to evaluate how you're spending your time. Are you sharing your gifts with those around you? Are you spending too much time in activities that don't bring you joy? Are you giving back to the communities that support you? Maybe its time to try something new.

Here are a few ways you can be GENEROUS in your time at Servant of Christ.
 

  1. Influence a child and grow in your faith - lead a small group for Sunday School.

  2. Serve as a Usher, Greeter, Communion Server or Reader on Sunday mornings.

  3. Take a behind the scene role in helping out with office projects.

  4. Share your gift of hospitality - help in kitchen on Sundays, Funerals or Wednesday evenings.

  5. Provide a warm and welcoming experience for those with questions at our Welcome Center.
