“So let’s do it—full of belief... Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word. Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on.” –Hebrews 10:24-25

Text: Luke 2:41-52

Sermon Title: Jesus Ditches Mary and Joseph

Theme: While growing up Jesus finds himself separated from his
parents. Mary and Joseph react like typical parents who can’t find their child. Jesus’ reaction gives us a glimpse into how he understands his real identity.

Questions to Think About as You Read:
 Jesus is obviously “comfortable in his own skin”. How can knowing and trusting that you are a child of God make you comfortable in your own skin?
 The Bible tells us very little about Jesus between his birth and when he starts his ministry at about age 30. What do you think he was like?
