“So let’s do it—full of belief... Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word. Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on.” –Hebrews 10:24-25

Text: Matthew 6:5-13

Sermon Title: “The Prayer — part 2”

Theme Like The Ten Commandments the first part of The Lord’s Prayer is all
about God. Beginning with verse 11 it shifts to our needs. Once again
underscoring the importance that “being right with God” and making
God our first priority is what’s most important before turning to our
own needs.

Questions to Think About as You Read:

1) As you read the last part of the Lord’s Prayer what does “Give us this day our
 daily bread” mean to you?
2) How is the last part of The Lord’s prayer different from conventional wisdom?
