“So let’s do it—full of belief... Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word. Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on.” –Hebrews 10:24-25

hope can always be found in Christ who is ultimately victorious over
sin and death.

Questions to Think About as You Read:
1) In what sorts of things do many people in our culture put their hope,
albeit false?
2) How is hope dependent on faith?
3) Which promises of God give you the most hope?

return and you don’t get “it”?

Text: Matthew 11:28

I grew up in a family that went to church. And I remember sitting up into the late hours of the
night and early morning talking with my mom about all kinds of things. She was a real encourager.
When I was going through the ups and down of growing up somehow the conversation would
often come back to “just trust God”. Throughout my adult life my family and I have
been through a lot of medical issues. And while there are too many details to go into I always
remember my mom and her encouragement in my faith. My faith has always helped me and
sustained me and my family through everything we’ve been through.

Sermon Title: "Believe: Be - Peace"

We often hear the phrase used that someone has “made peace with
God.” While that can be true it really begins with us understanding that
God has made peace with us first. This is the foundation for making
peace with ourselves and others.

Questions to Think About as You Read:
1) How does having peace with God through Jesus reveal itself in your life?
2) What is Paul’s prescription for anxiety and worry?
3) What do Jesus’ words “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you”
mean to you?
