“So let’s do it—full of belief... Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word. Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on.” –Hebrews 10:24-25

Text: Proverbs 22:6

Theme I had a motorcycle accident that changed my life forever and through
this experience I discovered God has a plan for me.

My mother always made sure God was important to me and my sisters. We were involved in church and it was good. But, as we got older we drifted away from it. On August 5th, 2010 I had a motorcycle accident that changed my life forever. I underwent major brain surgery and the surgeon didn’t think my chances for survival were good. My wife said, “He has two children that need him”. I didn’t know what would become of me but God had a purpose for me. This experience brought me closer to God despite being unable to work at my job. I have learned that as a Christian we are to be a forgiving people and love one another. Over time I was able to do this with the help of the Lord and the church.
