“So let’s do it—full of belief... Let’s keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word. Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on.” –Hebrews 10:24-25

Sermon Title: Trusting God More Than One's Self

Theme: Abraham’s wife Sarai (later Sarah) Laughed when God said she would bear a son in her old age. God’s promise to her didn’t make sense after all the years. Sarah realized that she needed to trust God in this cir-cumstance rather than making things happen herself.
Questions to think About as You Read:

 In what circumstance have you “tried everything” only at some point turning it over to God and things have worked out?

 Does turning a situation over to God mean we just sit back and do nothing?

 What do you think of the saying “Pray as if everything depends on God and work as if everything depends on you?”
